PolySpec® Subsea Insulation

PolySpec® has a complete line of Subsea Thermal Insulation products. They are based on THIOKOL aerospace polymer technology and provide a long-term solution to demanding subsea environments and applications. These products include HTHP formulations designed to handle high temperatures and still remain flexible.

Oil and gas companies are drilling off shore wells in ever increasing deeper and colder water to access new fields. These greater depths create additional demands on subsea oil and gas production equipment and increase the requirements for thermal insulation. Proper insulation of production trees, manifolds, jumpers and flow lines is vital to prevent the formation of hydrates during shutdowns. The recent expansion into high temperature, high pressure (HTHP) fields has further increased the demand for high performance thermal insulation materials.
